Jennifer Tilly being an idiot

The battle between Full Tilt Poker champ Patrik Antonius and Jennifer Tilly proved to be an entertaining spectacle indeed. Tilly was dolled up in black – replete with shades. Antonius, ever the poker-faced gentleman was princely and unassuming. The contest ensuing between these titans of the poker realm had everyone captivated. The game sported multiple big poker stars in Ivey, Harman, Lindgren and Gordon. As the pocket cards were dealt, all but Tilly and Antonius folded. The cards were simply shocking to boot. But that all changed with Tilly’s pocket Jacks. That Antonius sported a 10, 8 combination was good enough for him to stay in the hand.

The Veritable Flop, Turn and River Cards

Then came the first 3 community cards. Tilly could hardly believe her luck when they fell: 10 (spades), J (hearts) and 7 (clubs). This immediately gifted Jennifer Tilly a trip in the first 3 community cards. What she didn’t know was that Antonius now had a pair of 10s. A Turn and River card combination of two 10s would give him the game, but Lady Luck had other things in mind. Both the Turn and River cards flopped Kings. The result was an instant win for Tilly who now had a full house: 3 Jacks and 2 Kings. For Antonius luck was almost on his side with two 10s and 2 Kings. But it was Tilly who walked away with thousands in the showdown. Perhaps her comment about believing that Antonius already had her beat in the preflop was a little silly – perhaps she was bluffing? Who knows but it wasn’t the smartest admission – now was it?
