Multi-Table Tournaments

MTT Poker

Multi-Table Tournaments (MTTs) run multiple tables simultaneously in order to accommodate scores of poker players. Play continues until only 9 players remain for the final table. MTTs run online 24/7 for several hours a day. Entry into MTTs is possible through buy-ins or winning a seat via satellite tourneys.

All players at MTTs are seated at their tables with the same number of chips. Identical blind structures and increasing blinds occur automatically (10-15 minute intervals). Both small & big blinds are paid by one player, per round. The small blind is half of the big blind. Antes can be used to speed up the pace in longer tournaments.

MTTs start at scheduled times. Players must buy-in prior to these scheduled starting times. After registration, players are seated at tables with approximately 9 other players.

As play progresses, the number of tables diminishes as players exit the tournament. 5-minute breaks are given for every hour of play at an MTT.

Paydays at Multi-table Tournaments are generally dependent on the number of players participating in the contest. The more players, the greater the payouts are. There is an exception to this – especially when prize pools are guaranteed by way of fixed prizes. Players can even win tickets to bigger buy-in tournaments too.

The majority of MTTs feature Texas Hold’em games. There are 7-Card Stud MTTs and Omaha Hi-Lo MTTs too. MTT variants include the likes of bounties, satellites, turbos, re-buys, add-ons and Freerolls. Typically though, many top-tier online poker rooms will feature innovative promotions in order to attract players to MTTs.

Players selecting the right multi-table tourneys (MTTs) will find these to be an excellent way of stretching their bankroll. This provides players with invaluable gaming experience and potentially massive paydays in the process.
