A new report will finally lift the lid on casinos in Australia and just how much of a fixture they are within the everyday lives of the country's population.

Research and Markets has announced a new report featuring a study by Aruvian Research will be released, featuring details of the gambling industry down under.

It goes without saying that the casinos market in Australia has been hit in recent times on the back of the economic downturn that has affected much of the world since 2009.

However, there are still 13 casinos based in Australia offering a range of poker, gaming machines, tables and slots.

The conclusion is that the casinos sector has had to work hard to overcome the economic problems Australia has faced, but it seems to have done that and moderate growth in recent times has been enjoyed.

A similar picture for the next five years is seen as the most likely outcome.
