Aaron Lim has taken first place in one of the world's most prestigious poker tournaments, the Main Event at the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) Seoul.
He beat the competition from a 222-player field to land the top prize at the event in South Korea, which included a KRW 121,700,000 (AU$97,360) first place pot.
In addition, Lim will now be entitled to a seat at the APPT Macau Asia Championship of Poker Main Event, which could bring further rewards and the chance to play for even greater prizes.
On the third day of the event in Seoul, some 21 players returned to the table to battle it out for the title, before Lim eventually came out on top.
He was pushed all the way by a host of stars, including some from the Asia Pacific region, including Sixiao Li, Paul John Elliott and Xuan Liu, who finished second, third and fourth respectively.
