Australia's credentials as one of the world's poker hotspots have been further underlined by the continued presence of several of its players on the Global Poker Index (GPI).
The GPI is a list of the best 300 poker players on the planet and serves as a useful barometer of who is performing well in the game at any particular time.
Its latest publication has shown Jeffrey Rossiter is the highest ranked Australian on the index, standing in 143rd position overall.
He is followed by Jonathan Karamilikis, who appears at number 175, with both men doing all they can to fly the flag for Australian poker.
Both of the top players experienced slight falls in the most recent index, with Rossiter dropping by two places and Karamilikis by five spots in comparison with the last list.
But they remain at the very head of the Australian poker market and could inspire players around the country.
