Sydney Executive Supports Casino Project

Chinese visitors love Australian casinos

A city business leader has backed the idea of a brand new casino being built in Sydney in a bid to lure even more tourists to the area.

Patricia Forsythe, executive director of the Sydney Business Chamber, is quoted by the Australian as telling the Daily Telegraph she would like to see a new gambling facility constructed.

Indeed, she published a list of the top ten developments she wants to make a reality in the city - and a six-star hotel featuring a top-quality casino made the cut.

"The growth of tourism in China alone is phenomenal. A six-star hotel is an element which will ensure we have a destination that will attract visitors," she explained.

Ms Forsythe is adamant that Sydney must do all it can to become the place to go for entertainment and leisure and a classy casino could be one of several steps on the road to achieving this.ADNFCR-16000716-ID-801552977-ADNFCR
