Australia's top online poker player has been identified

Jonathan Karamalikis is at the very top of his game when it comes to playing poker online, with the latest rankings showing him to be the top player in Australia.

Poker Network has told how Karamalikis sits at the very top of the league table of online poker players, following his success in the $25,000 Guaranteed event on one site last month.

He went on to finish third in another poker tournament later in February and, as well as being the country's number one player, he has risen to 12th place in the world.

The success enjoyed by the competitive player could even inspire more people around Australia to take up the game and aim to win large amounts of cash.

Karamalikis's closest rival is Matt Wakeman, who is also in excellent form and stands a chance of overhauling the gap between the pair in the latest standings if he maintains his recent run of results.
