The Main Event on the Perth leg of the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour (ANZPT) Season 5 kicked off last week, and after four days of play it is Bosnia's Dejan Divkovic who has claimed the crown.
Divkovic started the final second in chips behind Japan's Iori Yogo, while Dale Marsland carried Australian poker hopes in third.
But the Bosnian was able to take advantage of his position and overcome Yogo, who was forced to settle for second in Perth.
Divkovic picked up $114,000 for his efforts at the felt, while Yogo earned a $72,000 payday.
And while Marsland will be happy to walk away from the felt with the $41,000 he secured for eventually finishing in third, it's likely that he'll be disappointed at the fact he failed to secure an ANZPT title on home soil.
Marsland wasn't the only Aussie in the final, as he was also joined by the likes of Philip Gidley-King and David Evans who finished fourth and fifth respectively.
