Woodworth Leads After ANZPT Perth Day 1A

A total of 67 players entered Day 1A in Perth

Day 1A of the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour (ANZPT) Main Event has come to an end in the Crown Perth, and it is Peter Woodworth who finished up with the lead following the first round of play.

The Aussie bagged a total of 84,025 chips at the end of the day, with Dale Marsland in second on 70,625.

A relatively small field of 67 players entered for the opening flight, with 38 advancing to Day 2.

However, with plenty more competitors expected at the felt for Day 1B, it's likely that an impressive prize pool will be created.

Some of Australian poker's biggest names turned up for Day 1A, including the likes of Tom Grigg and Dave Allan.

Liam O'Rourke was also among the entrants, and he finished the day fourth in chips to comfortably book his place at the felt for Day 2.

Whatever happens in the later stages of the event, it's sure to be a good one with so many of Australia's best players at the tables.ADNFCR-16000716-ID-801544485-ADNFCR
