The Crown Melbourne will host the prestigious event

The Aussie Millions action that took place in the Crown Melbourne may still be fresh in the memory, but registration is now open for the inaugural World Series of Poker (WSOP) Asia Pacific event that will also be hosted by the famous venue.

Being the first time that the WSOP has visited Australian shores, demand for places is likely to be extremely high, and the proceedings will take place from April 4th to the 15th.

But the build up to the serious WSOP events will kick off just beforehand, with a number of satellites getting underway in March and also taking place during the first three days of April.

The first event will be the Day 1 flight for the $1,100 NLHE Accumulator, which starts at 6pm on April 4th, and there will be numerous opportunities for players to get their hands on a WSOP title.

And with registration now open, anyone who fancies their chances against the world's best is advised to get in quickly.
