It might only be February, but plenty has been going on in the world of Australian poker since the start of 2013 - including the Aussie Millions.
Yet to begin our round-up we'll look at what happened in the days before the action kicked off at the Crown Melbourne, when Australia's Julius Colman and Grant Levy were both going for glory in the Bahamas after entering the Caribbean Adventure Main Event.
While Levy failed to make an impact, Colman made it past the money bubble and went bust in 45th place for a US$32,000 payday.
But despite his poor showing in the Main Event, Levy did take down a Caribbean Adventure side event to bag US$78,940.
Fast forward to the Aussie Millions and some of the world's biggest names turned up in Melbourne, including Phil Ivey who made it to the later stages of the Main Event.
Winners at the Aussie Millions included England's Rupert Elder who captured the Opening Event and Joe Hachem's son, Anthony, who took down Event 23, Turbo NLHE Cubed. Malaysia's Mervin Chan bagged the Main Event title.
With Australia New Zealand Poker Tour and Asian Poker Tour events coming up, Aussies have plenty to look forward to after a good start to the year.
