The Aussie Millions $250,000 Challenge has been taken down by England's Sam Trickett, who bags a whopping $2,000,000 for his troubles over the two-day event.
A total of 18 players took to the felt on Day 1, including the likes of Jason Mercier, Philipp Gruissem and Antonio Esfandiari, but all failed to advance to Day 2 as Trickett progressed to the final.
And it was there that the Englishman's experience showed, as he navigated his way into the last two where he faced Tobias Reinkemeier - the chip leader at the end of Day 1 - in a one-on-one showdown.
Trickett is no stranger to success at the Aussie Millions, as he previously took down the $100,000 Challenge back in 2011, and it seems that he enjoys playing on Australian soil.
But Trickett wasn't quite as lucky in the Main Event, as he failed to have any substantial impact in his attempts to get his hands on the title before going bust during Day 2.
