Australians Slip Following GPI Update

Karamilikis is still the highest ranked Aussie in the GPI

The number of Australian players in the Global Poker Index (GPI) 300 has dropped from five to four following the latest round of updates.

Oliver Speidel fell 52 places, meaning he now sits just outside in 304th, while Aaron Lim is clinging on by his finger tips after dropping 42 spots into 299th.

Grant Levy and Jeffrey Rossiter have both climbed one spot, now in 243rd and 127th respectively, while Jonathan Karamilikis continues to be the highest ranked Aussie in 118th despite a nine place fall.

With plenty of Australian poker stars currently involved in the Aussie Millions at the Crown Melbourne, it's likely that they'll be looking to make their mark at the felt and boost their ranking in the GPI 300.

Whatever happens, Australia's poker players are faring far better in the GPI than they were in the latter months of 2012, when for a long while Karamilikis was the only one flying the flag.ADNFCR-16000716-ID-801528959-ADNFCR
