The Aussie Millions events taking place at the Crown Melbourne are gathering pace as the action really begins to hot up, with Sam Vakili becoming the latest winner in the $1,100 Pot Limit Omaha Event.
Vakili picks up the second gold ring of 2013 for his exploits at the felt, as well as $53,600 prize money - this the day after Britain's Rupert Elder won the Opening Event for a $250,000 pay day.
And the action has certainly been entertaining, with Vakili forced to play out an intense one-on-one showdown with John Messina in order to claim the title in Event 2.
But there is no let up in the pace of play in the Crown Melbourne, as Event 3 is already drawing to a close.
A total of 21 players are left in the running in the $1,100 No Limit Hold'em Shootout Event, including Michael Kanaan and Nick Van Engelenburg.
