Australian poker star Grant Levy didn't enjoy a huge amount of luck with his early attempts to bag a Caribbean Adventure title in the Bahamas, but he eventually succeeded as he picked up a win in Event 34: US$5,300 Six-Handed.
As Poker Asia Pacific reports, Levy had previously been frustrated after failing to make it beyond Day 3 in the Main Event and going bust during Day 2 of the US$25,000 High Roller.
But it was in Event 34 where he finally got his hands on a title, besting a field of 44 entrants to pick up the first prize of US$78,940.
Julius Colman was the only other Aussie to make a notable impact in the Caribbean, advancing to Day 4 of the Main Event and finishing in 45th to claim a US$32,000 payday in a field of 987 players - an impressive achievement given the standard of poker that has been on display in the Bahamas.
