GPI Update: Five Aussies Make The Grade

The GPI makes much better reading for Australian poker fans than it did in 2012

The Global Poker Index (GPI) 300 wasn't particularly kind to Australian poker stars in the latter months of 2012, but 2013 has got off to a flying start.

Following the most recent round of updates, there are now five Aussies in the GPI 300, with Tam Truong becoming the latest to make the grade as he joins Jonathan Karamilikis, Oliver Speidel, Jeffrey Rossiter and Aaron Lim.

And it's particularly good news this week as not one of the Australians inside the 300 slipped, with all five making gains as they edge their way up the standings.

Karamilikis's movement is arguably the most notable, as his 14 place jump puts him in his highest ever position of 100.

With the Aussie Millions coming up and plenty of action to look forward to in the next month, the Aussie stars will be hoping to make further gains in the GPI 300 as they continue fighting it out for riches at the felt.ADNFCR-16000716-ID-801520974-ADNFCR
