With the likes of the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour and the Asian Poker Tour hosting some of the Asia Pacific region's biggest live events, sometimes the online world gets overlooked.
But no more, as Poker Asia Pacific has complied a list of the top ten Australian online poker players of last year - and it is Michael "WaGe N WaRz" Fadersen who has come in first place.
Fadersen enjoyed numerous five figure wins at the virtual felt in 2012, including a $26,755 windfall from a single event.
Yet while Fadersen made number one, no list of Australia's online poker stars is complete without the man who ranked in second - Jonathan "xMONSTERxDONGx" Karamilikis.
Karamilikis has a range of five figure wins from last year, but also turned in some impressive performances at the live table as he shot up the Global Poker Index 300.
Other names who made the list include Matt "mjw006" Wakeman in third and James "supanova99" Bills in fourth. Matthew "brownie682" Brown rounded off the top five.
