James Packer has unveiled the new Crown Perth following the completion of an eight year project to renovate the Burswood casino.
The initiative started back in 2004 and has since cost the company more than $750 million, with the rooms being overhauled and the complex given a fresh modern feel.
One of the focuses of the scheme was to cater for the high-end Asian market, and as such an exclusive gaming room aimed specifically for high rollers has been opened.
With further plans to construct a new golf course in place of the old one, there could soon be more than poker, blackjack and slots taking place at the Crown Perth.
"Things like golf are part of trying to build a tourism destination that is truly world class," Mr Packer said.
"We want to do much more here. We believe in this city, we believe in this state, we think as a company we are lucky to be here."
