Ray Gebrael leads SPSS Day Two

Eighteen players are battling it out to survive at Star Poker Summer Series (SPSS) day two.

At the end of an action-packed day two at the Poker Summer Series Main Event in Sydney only 18 of the 99 entrants have made it through leaving just two tables.

The standout players were Ray Gebrael with a stack of 549,500 chips and Tam Zhang with 438,900 to his name.

It is bound to be an intense final day with other notables including Daniel Neilson, Billy Argyros, Tam Truong and Andrew Scarf set to fight it out in the next round.

The dream has ended for many though including overnight chip leader Benjamin Zhang but for the 18 players that have secured their place, the SPSS title and $176,344 first-place prize is still to play for.

With the money bubble still intact three of the returning players will be leaving without a cash prize for their efforts on day 3.ADNFCR-16000716-ID-801505671-ADNFCR
