Joel Feldman claims the most significant victory of his career

Joel Feldman has won the Star Poker Summer Series (SPSS) Main Event after a lengthy 16 hour session to claim victory as the 2012 Star Poker Summer Series Main Event champion.

Despite a rocky start to the day, Feldman outlasted 18 competitors to claim the $176,344 first prize, resulting in the most significant victory of his career.

It was an intense final table with Feldman going head-to-head with rival Daniel Neilson for a colossal 11 hours before resorting to a two-handed deal.

To decide the winner the rivals agreed to go all-in blind and with luck on Feldman's side he came up trumps - Nielson showed a J-4 while Feldman came in with a Q-Q making him the official SPSS champion.

Nielson walked away with a grand total of $112,219.

Feldman now joins the likes of APPT Sydney champions Levy, Martin Rowe, Benton and Karamalikis in The Star poker room's hall of fame.
