GPI Update: Karamilikis Slips, Rossiter Edges Up

Karamilikis and Rossiter continue to fly the Aussie flag in GPI 300

Jonathan Karamilikis and Jeffrey Rossiter continue to fly the Aussie flag in the Global Poker Index (GPI) 300, with none of their compatriots managing to break into the standings for yet another week.

Karamilikis has slipped 12 places but is comfortably placed in 113th, while Rossiter has jumped two and is neatly placed in 143rd.

Aaron Lim is the Aussie who is closest to breaking into the GPI 300 and joining his fellow countrymen - he is in 326th, while Oliver Speidel is right behind him in 327th.

And while Australian poker stars struggle to make a big impact in the GPI standings, it's very much a case of business as usual at the top - America's Dan Smith has held on to first while Jason Mercier stays in second.

With the likes of Phil Hellmuth and Michael Mizrachi also occupying places in the top ten, it seems as if it's going to be a long time until we see an Aussie near the GPI summit.ADNFCR-16000716-ID-801503149-ADNFCR
