The Treasury Casino and Hotel is gearing up to host the Brisbane Poker Championship next week, with the $1,500 Main Event set to take place between December 13th and 16th.
There will be two opening flights - one on Thursday and another on Friday - before Day 2 is played out on Saturday and the final table takes place on Sunday.
Organisers will be hoping that they reach their full participation of 300 players, which Poker Asia Pacific says would generate a prize pool of some $412,500 - including a first prize of $105,000.
There is a $165 Direct Satellite on offer - as well as $320 Mega Satellites - which will award seats to the Main Event.
Whatever happens in Brisbane, the event is sure to offer Australian poker fans plenty of excitement following the recent success of the Australian New Zealand Poker Tour in Auckland and the Asian Poker Tour in Cambodia.
