Karamalikis Leads Aussie One-Two In ACOP High Roller

Jonathan Karamalikis and Jeff Rossiter seal first and second place in ACOP High Roller

Australia's Michael Kanaan and Andrew Hinrichsen may have just missed out on the title in the Asia Championship of Poker (ACOP) Main Event, but Jonathan Karamalikis and Jeff Rossiter sealed an Aussie one-two in the HK$250,000 (AU$30,918) High Roller.

A total of 39 players entered the event in the hope of sealing the big money prize - including former Global Poker Index leader Bertrand Grospellier and two-time Poker Hall of Fame nominee John Juanda - but it was Karamalikis who took the title in Macau.

Rossiter rounded off a strong tournament by sealing second having won the Warm-Up event last week, while there was another Aussie in the mix at the final table in the form of David Steicke.

Unfortunately for Steicke he was unable to make it an Aussie one-two-three, settling for fifth place behind Chunlei Zhou and Joseph Cheong, who took third and fourth respectively in the Grand Waldo Entertainment Complex.ADNFCR-16000716-ID-801487428-ADNFCR
