The Asia Championship of Poker (ACOP) is currently taking place in Macau, representing the last leg of Season 6 of the Asia Pacific Poker Tour.
And at the mid-way point it looks like the tournament is going to be one to remember, with some of the biggest names in the world of poker having turned up at the felt in the Grand Waldo Conference and Exhibition Centre.
In the latest developments, Australia's own Jeff Rossiter has claimed victory in the HK$5,000,000 (US$645,155) Guarantee Warm-Up event, picking up an impressive HK$1,777,000 (US$227,821) for his efforts at the tables.
Rossiter sat behind an impressive stack of chips when the remaining 18 players took their seats in order to find a winner, and held the lead when the last nine competitors took their places at the final table.
Making his dominance tell, the Aussie bullied his opponents out of the game, forcing Russia's David Martiroysan - who had led the tournament for much of the first two days - into second place.
