ACOP Update: Main Event Kicks Off In Macau

Bertrand Grospellier among the big names at the felt for the Main Event

The hype surrounding the Asia Championship of Poker (ACOP) has not failed to disappoint as the Asia Pacific Poker Tour reaches the end of Season 6.

And with the Main Event HK$10,000,000 (US$1,290,310) Guarantee now underway in Macau, it is Yue Hin Lam who holds the chip lead at the end of Day 1.

Lam sits at the head of a pile which includes some of the biggest poker stars in the world - namely Bertrand Grospellier and Mike Watson - as well as a number of Australians looking to get their hands on the title.

Oliver Speidel, Aaron Lim and Jonathan Karamilikis - among others - have all made it through Day 1, although the HK$5,000,000 (US$645,155) Guarantee Warm-Up winner, Jeff Rossiter, has unfortunately busted as his chance of securing two consecutive wins slipped away.

A total of 184 players entered the Main Event, and with 145 left at the time of writing, there are sure to be plenty of exciting developments on the way to deciding a winner.ADNFCR-16000716-ID-801484135-ADNFCR
