With the latest stop on the Asian Poker Tour (APT) now well underway in Mauritius, there have already been a number of winners in the build up to the Main Event.
Patrick Francois secured victory in the first event, beating Richard Chan to take first place and be crowned champion of Freezeout 1.
And Jonas Dewals from the Seychelles emerged as the winner in the Add-On for Charity - held in tribute to Kevin Douce - while his compatriot, Murielle Dewals, won the Ladies of Poker event, beating 11 other entrants on her way to glory.
Lastly, Richard Chan of Mauritius quickly bettered the second place finish he achieved on the first day, seeing off 50 challengers as he secured first place and the title in the Head Hunter tournament.
This is the first time that the APT has held an event outside of Asia, and the next stop in the calendar will be at Resorts World Manila in the Philippines on September 19th.
