The race is on to claim the Asian Poker Tour (APT) Player of the Year (POY) title, and Australia's Liam Anderson has signalled his intent to win the crown at the latest APT event in Mauritius.
Arriving at the Ti Vegas Casino in Grand Bay, Anderson is said to have told the APT team that "I’m here to take the lead in the APT Player of the Year table".
Liam currently sits second in the APT POY rankings, with Sweden's Martin Sampath Nilsson occupying first place.
And after finishing fourth at the opening side event in Mauritius, the Aussie moved to within 11 points of Nilsson in his bid to take the top spot.
So with the main event in Mauritius starting tomorrow (August 22nd), Anderson will be looking to put in an impressive performance to continue his promising start to the current leg of the APT calendar in Grand Bay.
