Australian poker fans have always got a close eye on the Asian Poker Tour (APT), and many will know that the latest instalment on the current schedule got underway yesterday (August 19th) in Mauritius.
Marking the first time ever that the APT has held an event outside of Asia, the Main Event will start on Wednesday August 22nd and run until Sunday August 26th.
With previous winners on the current tour including Taiwan's Carlos Chang and Singapore's Tan Tai Zheng, Aussies will be hoping that one of their own can seal a win in Mauritius.
Oliver Speidel was the last Australian to bag a win in an APT Main Event, taking victory in the Philippines back in December 2011, but as yet there is no telling who will turn up to the tables on the latest leg of the running APT calendar.
With visits to Cambodia, India and Korea set to follow after Mauritius, there is sure to be plenty of APT drama in the coming months.
