WSOP Director Hints Tournament Could Spread Even Further

World Series of Poker events may become more frequent

The World Series of Poker (WSOP) events are some of the most exciting poker tournaments on the planet, and WSOP director, Ty Stewart, has suggested that they could become even more widespread in the future.

"This is all about the viability of poker and the interest from poker players 365 days a year," he said, according to Casino City times. "I really don't think there is any end in sight on how much we can grow."

And a further sign that the tournaments could expand in the future can be seen in the inaugural WSOP Asia Pacific event that will be held next year.

Set to take place in April 2013, there will be five of the coveted WSOP gold bracelets up for grabs as competitors fight it out for victory at the Crown Melbourne in Australia.

The bracelets are awarded to winners of the tournaments organised by the WSOP, and hundreds of players are expected to put their poker skills to the test in pursuit of the riches on offer.ADNFCR-16000716-ID-801424248-ADNFCR
