UK Poker Players Gearing Up For Coventry Event

UK poker stars will head to Coventry later this month for the GUKPT

Poker stars across the UK will head to Coventry later this month to contest another high-profile event.

The Grosvenor and Casino Coventry, which is based in the city's Ricoh Arena, will play host to leg nine of the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour (GUKPT) from August 19th to August 28th.

Things will kick off with the £30 + £5 NL Hold'em Re-buy ten-Seat Gtd Super Satellite to Main Event, which starts at 19:30 pm on the opening day.

Players will contest the Main Event final table on August 27th and the action will continue for a further two days, giving those in attendance the best chance to land a cash prize.

News of the schedule comes shortly after Ben Jones took first place in leg eight of the GUPT in Bolton, walking away from the felt with a winner's cheque for £17,390.

Elsewhere, Gordon Huntly, the Scottish poker professional, has been making waves and picking up wins in the Asia-Pacific region.
