Demand for the APT Macau has led to a hotel sell out

Demand for entry at the forthcoming Asian Poker Tour (APT) Macau 2012 event has been higher than expected.

The special event kicks off in the new global gaming capital on July 25th and one local hotel has sold out its pre-allotted poker rooms.

Indeed, the Galaxy Hotel Macau has revealed that all of its special offer rooms have been snapped up by players taking part in the high-profile tournament.

"Due to the number of players booking at the Galaxy Hotel Macau for the upcoming Asian Poker Tour Macau 2012, the allotted rooms for the Special APT Player Only Rates are sold out," the APT explained.

"Although there are still available rooms at the Galaxy Hotel, the special rate can no longer be applied. For those interested in booking at the Galaxy Hotel, please go to [the hotel's] booking page."

A number of big-name players are expected to turn out for the event, with APT ambassador Joe Hachem one of those anticipated to make an appearance.
