Aussie cricket legend Shane Warne has crashed out of the World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event.
The spin king was flying high for a couple of days and at one stage had an impressive chip stack.
However successive poor hands saw him lose chips at a rapid rate and he eventually bowed out on day three.
As ever, Warne, who is the 888poker team captain, turned to his Twitter followers for advice asking them for last minute tips as he desperately tried to cling on.
The calls cam in vain though and he was forced to walk away from the felt a tired man.
"Had 225,000 in chips and was going really well … Back to back hands got horribly unlucky, now out … Shattered and speechless, can't believe it," he tweeted to his 832,264 loyal followers.
Warne was one of only a few Aussie to progress to the latter stage of the tournament, with 2005 WSOP champion Joe Hachem failing to emulate his previous success.
