APT bosses have described the Manila Millions as some of the "best poker action" around

Poker fans heading to Manila for the forthcoming Super High Rollers event by the Asian Poker Tour (APT) have been promised some of the best action around.

The tournament will boast a host of top names including Aussie ace Joe Hachem and US stars Phil Ivey and Phil Hellmuth.

Hakan Dagtas, vice-president of Casino Operations at Resorts World Manila, where the tournament is being held, said that the event will form "an integral part" of the Genting Poker League.

"We have the perfect combination for growth- particularly in the Philippines - a fast developing poker scene that can also offer players some of the very best internationally recognised beaches, resorts and recreational activities all within easy commute.

"The APT Tour and Resorts World Manila are going to make poker history once again and this time it's by staging Asia's biggest super high roller event."

The expert said that the high buy-in event is set to put the Philippines on the world poker map.
