Australian poker star Joe Hachem has a better idea of who to watch out for his Asian Poker Tour (APT) debut next month.
The Aussie card ace is due to take part in the APT Philippines Main Event in Manila and will be wary of Chao Ma after he won the 2012 China Poker Carnival.
Ma set himself out as one to beat after taking the crown and a winner's cheque for $47,386 at the APT event.
The Chinese poker ace was crowned champion after four "gruelling days" of poker action against a crowd of 414 hopefuls.
Ma's efforts were enough to see him beat off the threat of Mengmeng Zhang, who walked away with $23,693 in second place, and Jubin Xu, who pocketed $17,375 and rounded out the top three.
Hui Wen, Yicun Zhou and Xiaoqiang Meng also cashed after finishing in the top six of the annual competition.
Hachem will take to the APT tables for the first time after accepting an ambassadorial role with the organisation in Manila next month.
